BUILDINGDesign and Construction - Chimpanzee Enclosure
Project Value: $Design and construction of 1000m2 cage next to the existing cage where two Chimpanzees are currently living in. The average height of the cage is 7.5m.
The main concept of the design is to involve the existing natural landscape into the cage in order to create an “African” look alike scenario. It is estimated to accommodate in the order of 15 Chimpanzees in the future.
The cage is designed to be built using series of structural steel portal frames and it will be cladded with mesh. In addition the night house for the animals has also been design.
