MANLY WEST PUBLIC SCHOOL - LIBRARY
Project Value: $300,000QMC Group constructed an addition to the library at Manly West Public School for the NSW Department of Commerce. The library was located on the first floor so the works also provided additional storage rooms below. Window to be constructed overlooking the sports fields. Other works included upgrading storm water and existing services, timber flooring, brickwork and roofing.
During this project, QMC had the opportunity to involve the students whilst the library was being constructed. On a designated day, local media was present with teachers and some parents to see the children walked through the site and learning what was being done. All the children got to wear hard hats and had the opportunity to ask questions to the site manager. This day was considered a huge success and most importantly, the children had a great time.
